Speaker photo currently unavailable	Clifford Asness is the managing and founding principal at AQR Capital Management (AQR), an investment management firm employing a disciplined, multiasset, global research process. Prior to founding AQR, Mr. Asness was managing director and director of quantitative research for the Asset Management Division at The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where he helped build quantitative models for global equity, fixed income and currency markets. Mr. Asness has been published in numerous periodicals, including Journal of Portfolio Management and Financial Analysts Journal, both of which have given him awards including best paper of the year. He is on the governing board of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and the board of the International Rescue Committee. Mr. Asness has bachelor’s degrees in economics and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, both graduating summa cum laude, and a master of business administration degree with high honors and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Chicago.
