	Hersh began his career with a predecessor organization in 1969 as a portfolio manager and has 40 years of industry experience. Hersh was appointed chief investment officer of ClearBridge Advisors in 2004. He co-manages the ClearBridge Appreciation, SAI Appreciation and Dividend Strategy products. In addition to managing numerous private portfolios and retirement funds, Hersh has managed the Legg Mason Partners Appreciation Fund since 1979. Hersh received his BA from Case Western Reserve University in 1962, and earned a PhD in Psychology from Tufts University in 1966.
