He educates institutional investors about alternative investments, with specific emphasis on managed futures, global macro, currency and commodity-based hedge fund strategies. Before that, Mr. O’Donnell was managing director of marketing and client services at Chesapeake Capital Corporation, where he focused on institutional investors worldwide. Prior to joining Chesapeake in 1995, he was program director with the Virginia Retirement System, a large public pension funds in the United States. There, he was heavily involved in strategic investment policies and asset allocation decisions. He oversaw their External Global Equity Program and several alternative investment programs. Mr. O’Donnell received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
