A broad range of experience over the past 23 years has helped Curtis Arledge build a deep knowledge base across all fixed income sectors. He is BlackRock's chief investment officer of Fixed Income, Fundamental Portfolios and a member of the Fixed Income executive committee. In this role, Mr. Arledge serves as chair of the Fixed Income Investment Strategy meetings. He is directly responsible for the oversight of more than $500 billion in fixed income assets and for setting the overarching themes that drive investment decisions across dozens of fundamental fixed income portfolios at BlackRock. Near the peak of the credit crisis, Mr. Arledge led the creation and launch of Fixed Income Value Opportunities (FIVO), an innovative closed-end fund designed to capitalize on spread sectors and securities that BlackRock assessed to be severely undervalued.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Arledge spent 12 years at Wachovia Corporation, most recently as global head of the Fixed Income Division and as a member of the Corporate and Investment Bank’s (CIB) Executive and CIB Risk/Return committees. Mr. Arledge holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. |
