Called the "Banker's Landlord" by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Nicholas Schorsch has spearheaded highly complex transactions involving commercial real estate, including the $770 million acquisition of 158 Bank of America properties and the $705 million State Street Financial Center acquisition in Boston. As the founder and the CEO of American Realty Capital (ARC), Mr. Schorsch provides institutional investment management to individual investors by sponsoring a variety of securities offerings of publicly registered, nontraded REITs. He also originates, evaluates, acquires and manages single-tenant, freestanding properties. ARC formed Realty Capital Securities, LLC, to distribute public and private direct investment programs and to act as a dealer-manager for several public, nontraded REITs.

Prior to ARC, Mr. Schorsch was the CEO, President and Vice-Chairman of American Financial Realty Trust, where he was responsible for more than 1,000 property acquisitions totaling nearly $6 billion. He received the Ernst & Young 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year award.
