	Jim Peterson is vice president and chief investment officer of Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. Dr. Peterson is the portfolio manager for Schwab Managed Portfolios™ and heads the Investment Manager Research team, which chooses mutual funds for Schwab's Mutual Fund OneSource Select List™ and the Mutual Fund Select List Advisor Edition™, as well as strategies for Schwab’s Managed Account Select® program. Prior to joining Schwab in 1998, he was an assistant professor of finance at the University of Notre Dame, where he was voted Outstanding Teacher in BusinessWeek's Guide to the Best Business Schools in 1997. He has been published in several leading academic and professional journals. Dr. Peterson received his doctorate degree in finance from Louisiana State University.
